At the encounter between photonics and nanotechnologies, photonic nanostructures enable designing improved optical functionalities by sculpting light-matter interaction at the nanometer scale. Recent progress in top-down and bottom-up fabrication have strongly stimulated this field and triggered applications, especially to biosciences, data processing and green energy. This symposium focuses on latest advances in plasmon optics, optical antennas, semi-conductor nanocrystals and hybrid materials and their application to health, communication and energy. We invite contributions on fabrication, optical measurements and modeling.
